Live from Music Row Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the studio to discuss Joe Biden’s definition of unity and the incoming unvetted and unvaccinated Afghan refugees to Tennessee.
Leahy: Crom, you’re gonna love this one. It’s about how talking points from the Biden administration and the left get out there. Here’s a story from News Channel Five. I’m going to read the lead on this.
To show and promote unity, the Islamic Center of Nashville joined churches, synagogues, and mosques from the Multifaith Neighborhood Network to collect items for Afghan refugees on Saturday in Twelve South.
Organizers said it’s an opportunity during the anniversary of 9/11 to show we are stronger when we work together and that as a country we need to continue working collectively for the common good.
This is a new story from News Channel Five. That’s how they’re writing the story. The Islamic Center of Nashville said Nashville will be getting Afghan refugees. Let me just say, unvetted refugees. Now Crom, remember that word, unity?
Carmichael: Yes.
Leahy: This is what the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Joe Biden said about 9/11.
(Joe Biden clip plays)
Unity is what makes us who we are, America at its best. To me that’s the central lesson of September 11 is that at our most vulnerable in the push and pull of all that makes us human in the battle for the soul of America, unity is our greatest strength.
Leahy: There you go. They got the talking points at New Channel Five. Unity.
Carmichael: That may be the most upside-down illogical statement I can’t say that Biden’s ever made (Leahy laughs) because he’s made so many.
Leahy: He’s made nothing but upside-down illogical statements.
Carmichael: If our country is based on anything, it isn’t based on unity unless we unify around certain values. And among those values is that we tolerate various points of view, and we embrace individual rights and individual freedoms.
That we embrace the right to bear arms. That we embrace freedom of the press. That we embrace all the things that are in our Constitution, which means that we embrace being different and that we can have different points of view.
But that one group cannot impose their views on another group or another person. By the way, slavery was exactly what Biden now purports to want. When you look at what he’s doing with COVID, he is trying to tell you that I don’t care.
And by the way, Black people are particularly sensitive to this because of all of the terrible things that Democratic governments did to Black people in the name of so-called science 100 years ago.
Leahy: Particularly in the south.
Carmichael: Yes, particularly in the south. But Black people as a racial group are the least vaccinated. And I don’t begrudge them for that. But Joe Biden does.
Leahy: They have reasons.
Carmichael: They have reasons. And I don’t necessarily have to agree with their reasons.
Leahy: As for themselves as individuals.
Carmichael: But I do absolutely honor and respect their choice because according to Biden, if I’m vaccinated, which I am, by the way, then I’m safe. So why does he care so much about protecting me if I’m already protected?
And so what he wants to do is take away the rights of those that disagree with him. And by the way, that’s his definition of unity. Biden’s definition of unity is to bend the knee to the Democrat Party and to the central planners in Washington. Bend the knee and you will be one of the unified.
You will be blessed. You will be anointed. You will be Christened. It will be whatever the Muslims do. You’ll do all that, and you will be part of our club.
Leahy: Guess what? Biden put out this mandate for 100 million Americans to be vaccinated for COVID-19 on Thursday. 95,000 refugees from Afghanistan, most of them unvetted and unvaccinated.
Carmichael: And unvaccinated.
Leahy: There’s no mandate for them to be vaccinated, correct? So he’s treating Afghan refugees, most of whom are a, unvetted and from what we can tell had nothing to do with helping America.
Carmichael: Right.
Leahy: Unvetted. They had a measles outbreak at their Wisconsin fort at the military base, where they were put. Now, just as an aside, he’s apparently going to be sending them to Tennessee. Governor Bill Lee has been silent on that.
But apparently, the Islamic Center of Nashville has the inside scoop that unvetted Afghan refugees are coming to Nashville. That’s the kind of unity Joe Biden has in mind for us.
Carmichael: The definition of unity that I see that is the most troubling is that he wants to force people to do things that they don’t want to do. And then they try to claim, well, we’ve had forced vaccinations before.
There’s a complete difference between saying that a child cannot attend school without having had the polio vaccine because the polio vaccine keeps you from getting polio. The measles vaccine keeps you from getting measles.
The COVID vaccine doesn’t keep you from getting COVID. It just mitigates the symptoms once you get it. And science shows that this so-called pandemic is only going to go away through herd immunity.
Leahy: You’ve been talking about that for a year and a half Crom.
Carmichael: Yes. Now here’s what’s interesting. As we said if you had COVID. According to Biden, 100 million people have not been vaccinated. But yet the CDC will tell you that there are tens of millions of people who have already gotten COVID.
I don’t know whether it’s 40 million. I don’t know whether it’s 80 million. It’s tens of millions. And it’s an extremely high percentage of the 100 billion. Well, if you’ve already gotten COVID and you already have antibodies, then why on earth should you be forced to take the vaccine?
Not even Anthony Fauci himself can answer that question because he was asked. And his answer was, I don’t have a firm answer. This means in this particular case, he’s chosen not to lie. But in all the other cases he has.
And so this definition of unity is about bending the knee. It’s a lot like in Game of Thrones. The only people who were considered to be part of the unity were the winners. And then that finally ended up with John Snow and the lady who was the Dragonslayer. She was the mother of Dragons.
Leahy:Â I didn’t realize you were a big Game of Thrones guy.
Carmichael: Oh, gosh. I thought it was great. All of a sudden, towards the end, she became a very, very bad person. It was shocking how bad her character became. And John Snow made the choice. And at the very end, he said I have to kill her. And he did.
Leahy: Wow.
Carmichael: And so that’s how it ended, which is kind of a very anticlimactic ending.
Leahy: Now you gave it away to everybody that ever wanted to watch Game of Thrones. We got to give a warning on that. I did not know you were into that.
Carmichael: Yes. I think the imagery in Game of Thrones was fascinating. That’s why I used the term bend the knee because that’s where that term may have come before them.
Leahy: It’s been out there for a long time.
Carmichael: But they really used it in that whole deal. The other movie The Matrix. To me, the trilogy of the Matrix, incredible symbolism in The Matrix Trilogy. It’s well worth discussing some time without having to get into the ending. I won’t spoil it.
Leahy: Okay. Don’t spoil the endings. You want to talk about an ending I’m very curious about.
Carmichael: What is it?
Leahy: A Republic if you can keep it. That’s the ending I’m concerned about. This is what Ben Franklin said after he emerged from the Constitutional Convention, September 17th of 1787. He told that to Mrs. Powell.
What, sir, have you given us? A Republic if you can keep it. And, of course, this is Constitution Week. Friday the 17th is the anniversary of the Constitution. And we, by the way, sponsoring the National Constitution Bee through our 501 (c) (3).
It will be held on October 24th in Brentwood. Claudia Henneberry will be here this week. She’s going to be one of our guests. We’ll talk about that. And a $10,000. educational scholarship to the winter. Public school teachers aren’t really all that crazy about getting encouraging kids to participate.
Carmichael: Please call them government-run schools. (Chuckles)
